Rodalies de Catalunya schedules a special daily train service for the Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia
On the occasion of the 49th International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, from the morning of 7 to 8 October until the Festival ends on the morning of 16 to 17 October, Rodalies de Catalunya is operating a special train service from Sitges to Barcelona.
The goal is to ensure return train travel for those who attend this important cultural event after the evening sessions have concluded.
The Fantastic Train will depart Sitges at 1.30 am with a non-stop service to Barcelona Sants. No special ticket is required; any Rodalies de Catalunya commuter train ticket is valid.
In addition, travellers to Sitges can take the regularly scheduled southbound R2 commuter train (Barcelona-Sant Vicenç de Calders, via Vilanova i la Geltrú). The trip takes 30 minutes with departures every 15 minutes on average.
30% discount on Renfe train travel
If you’re travelling to Sitges by train to attend any of the films at the Festival, just show proof of purchase of a film ticket to receive a 30% discount on the fare for any service operated by Renfe as well as Rodalies de Catalunya commuter trains, AVE and/or Long Distance trains.
This special train will operate from the morning of 7 to 8 October until the end of the Festival, departings from Sitges at 1.30 am with Barcelona as the final destination.
