The 'Books, Roses and La Grossa' draw takes place on 27 April and you can buy tickets up to one hour before the draw
Loteria de Catalunya is launching the advertising campaign for the special La Grossa lottery for St George’s Day (Sant Jordi). The draw will be held on the morning of 27 April with more than 6 million euros in prizes. Tickets can be purchased up to one hour before the draw.
There will be five big prizes.
- First prize: €20,000 per euro played; €100,000 per €5 euro ticket.
- Second prize: €6,500 per euro played; €32,500 per €5 ticket.
- Third prize: €3,000 per euro played; €15,000 per €5 ticket.
- Fourth prize: €1,000 per euro played; €5,000 per €5 ticket.
- Fifth prize: €500 per euro played; €2,500 per €5 ticket.
2,100 points of sale
You can but a La Grossa de Sant Jordi ticket at any of the 2,100 points of sale authorised by Loteria de Catalunya: tobacconists, bookshops, newspaper stands, bars, etc. Buyers can request their favourite numbers at any of these outlets, which are equipped with a terminal that instantly prints out the ticket in the chosen number.
La Grossa de Sant Jordi can also be purchased at supermarket chains such as Bonpreu, Carrefour, Caprabo, Condis, Sorli and El Corte Inglés, and service stations such as Repsol, Petrocat and Cepsa, among others.

La Grossa de Sant Jordi 2017 – more than 5 million euros in prizes
The first edition of the La Grossa de Sant Jordi lottery gave out more than 5 million euros in prizes across Catalonia. The money raised by Loteria de Catalunya is used for the Catalonia Refugee Plan, amongst other charitable projects.
