Other events for the National Day of Catalonia

As is customary, wreaths from the Catalan Parliament and Government will be laid at the monument of Rafael Casanova in Barcelona and in Sant Boi de Llobregat. Other commemorative events for 11 September will be held in Girona, Tarragona, Lleida, Tortosa and Madrid. The Government of Catalonia delegations abroad will also organise events in the cities of Paris, Geneva, Brussels, London, Washington, Berlin, Lisbon, Vienna, Rome, Bratislava and Warsaw. In addition, the Palau de la Generalitat and Parlament buildings will be open to the public on 11 September.

Sunday, 10 September

7.00 pm. Award ceremony in the Parliament building Auditorium to present the Parliament Gold Medal of Honour to the Mossos ‘Esquadra, the emergency services, the Barcelona Guardia Urbana and the Cambrils Local Police.

Monday, 11 September

9.00 am. Laying of the wreath by the government, headed by President Puigdemont, at the Rafael Casanova monument in Barcelona.

9.05 am. Laying of the wreath from the Parliamentary Committee, headed by the President, Carme Forcadell, at the Rafael Casanova monument in Barcelona.

9.30 am. Laying of a wreath at the tomb of Rafael Casanova, in Sant Boi de Llobregat, attended by Minister Turull.

From 11.00 am to 7.00 pm. Open day at the Palau de la Generalitat.

From 10.00 am to 7.00 pm. Open day at the Palau del Parlament.
