The President of the Catalan Government awarded the Premi Internacional Catalunya to the three oncologists at a formal ceremony at the Palau de la Generalitat
The distinction will be formally awarded by the President of the Catalan Government on October 25th 2016 at a special ceremony held at the Palau de la Generalitat.
In this year’s call, a total of 152 candidatures were received from 52 countries, presented by 180 institutions, including the jury
Tutu gave his thanks for the honour and stated that he accepted the award in the name of all those people with “social awareness, activists for the common good of mankind and our world”
The event was held at the Generalitat Palace’s Sant Jordi hall on Friday 26 July.
